Sneak Preview: Aurdeum

There are two races in the land of Myrra. The pemmas are filled with bluntness and honesty. Their outlook on life is severe. At a very young age, pemma children would be raised and trained in war, farming, and craftsmanship. Whilst the afaenas were filled with mischief and fascination. Their outlook on life is funspirited. Afaena are each given an element that they can manipulate. Their admiration for art, faith, and love brings peace and unity within their race. Rare are the moments when a pemma and an afaena would fall for each other, but when they did, a halfling would be born. Thought of as abominations, halflings were often sent to slave camps, work houses, or asylums. Which leads us to the story of Kaitra, a young halfling girl and personal slave to the afaena master of the slave trade. When she was forcibly married to him and under hypnosis, she becomes his. She, then begins to be able to question his power, leading to her freedom. She seeks after wholeness, wandering until she is found by the Sacred Alchemist, Aurdeum, leading to her apprenticeship in healing alchemy.

It was always an honour to be called by the Master of the slave trade. To be his personal slave was the dream of all halfling slaves. It meant the difference of poverty or wealth. If you were chosen by him for pleasure, then you would become the new addition to his line of wives. But, for Kaitra this was never a big deal. But even with this reservation, Kaitra had been chosen. Once chosen, you could not refuse. With the prejudice against the halflings aimed by the afaenas and pemmas didn’t allow them to rise any higher than this.

With all this said, you could probably guess that Kaitra was far from pleased when she was taken by shackles to her Master. She was dressed in the finest white silks, which you could see right through. Its slit revealed her entire leg and her midriff was on display. Kaitra’s rough olive skin had been smoothed with magick and herbs. Her auburn ringlets cascaded down her bare back, with a long braid, ornamented with flowers and violet ribbons.

The pemma slave drivers led her by her shackles to the Master’s abode. As they drew near to his gate, Kaitra looked around at his gardens, mirrors stood in odd places, crystal balls of light lined a path that led to the front door of a mansion. The pemmas opened the gates and led the slave girl up the path to the door. Kaitra followed their lead with apprehension and when the queue to halt came, she obeyed. They unshackled her, and held her bicep as they opened the front door and pushed Kaitra in.

Kaitra didn’t know what she expected to see in the mansion, but what greeted her was far from any cognitive logic. She was in a field of long golden grass, with a sky filled with stars and bright colours of blues, violets, and golden spheres. Kaitra stared in open-mouth wonder at the alternate world she just stepped into. Suddenly arms gently wrapped around her breasts. Kaitra caught her breath in fright. As she turned to look behind her. And what she saw made her knees go weak. A young man with strawberry blond curls, held in a braid, his eyes were just like the sky, filled with blue and violet, spinning round and round like smoke, making her fuzzy and dizzy just watching. She couldn’t take her eyes off them.

Deep, deeper, deepest… look into my eyes, Kaitra. Deeper and deeper… you are mine. She heard a rich deep voice in her thoughts. Kaitra obeyed and looked so deep that all her surroundings seemed to fade out. Sleep, Kaitra...sleep...sleep. Shadows filled her vision, but she fought hard to escape. There is no use resisting, Kaitra. It only seals your fate. Kaitra continued to fight, but soon she realized that he was right, and when she learned this, she gave in to the inevitable.

Advent of the Promise: Day 25/Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :D Last two pieces for the advent project (and entrance of a Christmas project) is for all my friends!

Christmas Colours

White is the colour of holiness and purity

The Child of Heaven, born unto you and me

Our Salvation, the Messiah, Yaweh, King of Kings

To light the world for the meek in humility

The advent of the promise, come and see!

Blue is the colour of dreams of passion

God’s dream told through the prophets’ visions

Thousands of years we waited for the coming of His Son

Now, He has been born, Immanuel has come!

The Christ Child is the light of the new dawn

Red is the colour of the blood that will pour

To live and be every broken hearts’ cure

To die and be the perfect sacrifice for the world

To rise again so that we could live for much more

Than our own petty dreams for His visions are pure

Green is the coulour of everlasting life through Him

A life devoid of pain, tears, hate and sin

To come to a Home of peace in Heaven

We are not of this world that we are in

So, we look forward to the life and Home with Him

Advent of the Promise: Days 23-24

This one is for my worship pastor(pic accompanies the poem)!:

God With Us

The Father’s dream for the sinners

Since that bite into the forbidden fruit

Was to always be God with us

To the sons of Adam

And to the daughters of Eve

He gave an inheritance

Giving His most precious treasure

Giving His only begotten Son

Born among the animals

Born of the virgin, Mary, who praises the Lord

Born the King of Kings

With three kings bowing in reverence before Him

The Light of lights, among the outcasts

Angels singing “Gloria” in the sky

O, you who hear them tell it on the mountaintops

That your Lord and Saviour is born

He will draw the lost back to Him

He will heal the lame, and give sight to the blind

The deaf will hear the mute sing praises

Let the world know that God is with us

Christmas in a Hospital

Christmas is in five days

But I fear I may not be home for it

The music rings and decor is up

But I’m not there to enjoy it with you

I should rejoice but days are so dark

And my tears pour down to drown me

While still, you are in my heart

And I want to see your face brighten

When you rip open the paper

Beaming with ecstasy and hugging the gift tight

I miss the fun we’d have together

I miss that cute smile of yours

I just want to be there for Christmas

I want to celebrate it with you!

Promise of the Advent: Day 15

For this Advent season, I will be creating and/or writing Christmas-inspired gifts for my friends until Christmas Day. This one is for my dear friend and beloved sister, Savvy. :)

Reaching for Starlight

Once upon a time in a place where imagination roams free, there were two princesses. These friends were as close as sisters. Princesses from separate kingdoms; the kingdoms of night and day. One princess was an enshadowed soul that was disowned and outcast from her royal family. The other was a zealous young spirit as a blazing fire, wild as the four winds, and free spiritedly far from her family and yet so near to their heart.

Princess Starlight of Lunaria, with beautifully shining golden hair and icy blue eyes. Within her heart was a dark storm that unveiled itself in the clothes of night. Pale white skin, soft and smooth that hid secrets underneath the scars which she covered up with the darkened sky. Her heart was shattered and scattered into a million pieces and caught in the night sky.

Then there was the princess of Onedath; Moor with her luxurious curls that would blaze red like veins of fire through the air and her deep dark brown eyes, always twinkling with joy. Her warmth of comfort was as a candle softly glowing for many. Whilst her rage was as magma to obliterate anything in her path for others. But despite her faults, Moor’s love was always reaching out…

It was the Christmas season, a time of joy and giving. But, not everyone was merry… This would be the first Christmas in Starlight’s exile. One night, Moor flew on the east wind and landed on a mountaintop, to see the twinkling tears of her friend so far, scattered through the twilight sky. In her a desire to reach out to her and comfort her, Moor called out to Starlight.

“My dearly beloved sister, what can I do to make you glad again?”

Northern lights filled the slowly darkening sky, whispering in Moor’s mind to just be present there. As Moor reached out her hand, casting rays of light and fire, to warm the trails of blue, purple, green and pink. She took Starlight’s hand from the empty blackness, drawing her closer to her heart, bringing warmth to her ghost, bringing out her colour and they wept in each other’s arms.

“For this Christmas night, I will gladly remain by your side, dear Starlight…” Moor whispered in Starlight’s ear, holding her to the solid mountain for only a time. She knew all the time she had left was until the sunrise, and Starlight would be gone… Back up into the expanse of the stars, beyond her reach until she could return at twilight, once again. Moor started a campfire, and held Starlight beside the warmth until dawn broke and they whispered one last soft goodbye, until they could meet again.

Advent of the Promise: Day 14

For this Advent season, I will be creating and/or writing Christmas-inspired gifts for my friends until Christmas Day.

This one is dedicated to God...

A Christmas Prayer

It’s Christmastime again
And I should be glad
Though the Christmas bells ring
I cannot lift my eyes to see
The beauty of the lights on the tree
It just doesn’t feel like any special time
It’s just another day, nearing to my end
So Lord, I only ask this favor of You
To bring joy to my world, and peace in this heart
All I want for Christmas is You
All I long for, this year is for You to
Tenderly break my heart; gather the pieces close
Please hold me to Your heart
I grow weary of crying tears only for myself
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
And bring me back to life, show me again
Why You sent Your Son to be born of Mary
And give me that as a reason to live
This is my Christmas prayer to You, my King
This is the plea I lay at Your feet Lord, just give me You…

Advent of the Promise: Day 11

For this Advent season, I will be creating and/or writing Christmas-inspired gifts for my friends until Christmas Day. This one is for my dear mini-me, Adells!

Your Silhouette

O Bethlehem, you have received a Saviour
And He is the Light unto the world
And to the Lord I say the beauty of this mystery
The love to make us one with each other and solely Yours
It makes Your shadow spread abroad

Jesus, I want to be like You on this earth
To be Your arms of peace, love and mercy
This connection between us, it is a rebirth
This babe has shed the light throughout history
Make it so that I speak the Truth, to be Your silhouette

O Israel, you have among You, your Saviour
And He has now shown you the true way to love
He wakes the dead, and the blind can see the Lord
He shows us all the ways of the Father above
Shows you that there is something more to live for
And the revolution has begun

I'll stand to say "I want to live like Christ on this earth"
To be His arms of peace, love and mercy
This connection between us, it is my rebirth
This King has shed the light throughout history
I'll stand and speak the Truth, to be His silhouette

O Calvary, you have crucified our Saviour
And He has wept over your transgressions
"It is Finished!" He cries; He bore the sins of the world
His dream in the manger come true to die for our sins
Thus the war has been won

So still I stand today; choosing to follow Him on this earth"
To be His arms of peace, love and mercy
This connection between us, it is my rebirth
This King has shed the light throughout history
I'll stand and speak the Truth, to be His silhouette

Celebrate the Coming

Snow falls and flutters down
To the awaiting ground, collecting
Nature sings the winter song
The melodies sing sweet for this Advent
On the first coming of the King; we look back gratefully
Then look forward to His return
Charity is for all times, but it is the season
To hold remembrance of that command
To give, love and die to self in a world that glorifies
Selling and buying, and getting what you want
“Good or naughty” determining a gift or a lump of coal
But what we need to do is prioritize our goals of life
To give what we can give; and love with all our might
For when the Word was made flesh,
His dream was set in motion; to give His life for us
That we’d be free and receive “God with Us”
So when you celebrate this season; celebrate the Child
Who came to shine the Light of Love and Grace
To a world in the dark; that we may be like
A candle in the rain to a world in need of healing

Blood Bound in Christ,
Serenity Sparrow

Day 1's piece of writing will be for my kind friend, stripey from Watty!

Advent of the Promise

I shut my eyes so that I can see
All the love that God has for us
That He would send such a gift to this world
And what He gave was "God with us"

A chorus of Christmas bells chime
As the carols ring throughout these hills
With a little sister under the tree lights at night
I ponder on the first coming of Immanuel

"Peace on earth; good will to men"
With such a well-known saying as this
With our eyes roaming through the city
Those words seem to be amiss

Thus charity is our calling to witness
To the advent of the Promise; our Christ
We be the peace, the change we wish to see
That by our life would magnify His Light

Day 2's piece of art is to none other than my dear friend, Eli...

Day 3's piece of art is for cat_bazooka from Wattpad! Such a sweetheart :3

Welcome to the Scriptings of Serenity Sparrow

Hello my loverlies,

I am Serenity Sparrow from Wattpad, where I have been writing under various names for around four years. As you may have noticed from my Watty, I am a Christian poet and authoress of fantasy, adventure, science fiction, inspirational pieces, romance, drama, and devotionals. I love music and many of my writings will be inspired by such an art. My current work-in-progress as of now is As Truth Collides, with themes of Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, Dragonkeeper Series by Donita K. Paul, and the films of How to Train Your Dragon with a twist into science fiction. I am also an artist of graphics and I like sketching in a chibi, anime, and manga style. So, now that I have introduced myself, I hope you will enjoy the reads and pieces. Peace be unto ye, and God bless!

Blood bound in Christ,
Serenity Sparrow
